Forget The Past That Sleeps

This may be my most intricate digital art piece yet. I spent days working on it, in total about 100 hours. The horse is made from so many pieces of various horses, at least 8 horses, none of which were this color. The color is made completely in Photoshop. The tail alone is made with about 7 different pieces.

You will recognize my daughter, Priya as the 'model'. Her dress is made from scratch, a figment of Photoshop's imagination. Priya's Flickr photostream is here: www.flickr.com/photos/priya_papriiika/

After some feedback from viewers, I changed the shape of the horse, making it's size more in alignment with the scale of the rider. Priya prefers the original version with the horse as a stallion, so I've changed it back again to the original version. Here is a link to a small Flash animation I made of both versions.
