Artist's Comments
This may be my most intricate digital art piece yet. I spent days working on it, in total about 100 hours. The horse is made from so many pieces of various horses, at least 8 horses, none of which were this color. The color is made completely in Photoshop. The tail alone is made with about 7 different pieces.
You will recognize my daughter, Priya as the 'model'. Her dress is made from scratch, a figment of Photoshop's imagination. Priya's Flickr photostream is here: www.flickr.com/photos/priya_papriiika/
After some feedback from viewers, I changed the shape of the horse, making it's size more in alignment with the scale of the rider. Priya prefers the original version with the horse as a stallion, so I've changed it back again to the original version. Here is a link to a small Flash animation I made of both versions. I welcome your opinions:

This artwork looks like it could be on the cover of a romantic book. I've never seen the movie 'Gone with the wind', only some parts in other programs and some pictures. But your artwork made me think of that. Wonderful, just wonderful. Enough talking, I'm going to admire your artwork again
