I thought the earth remembered me,
she took me back so tenderly,
arranging her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed,
nothing between me and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths
among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms
breathing around me, the insects,
and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night I rose and fell, as if in water,

The face I made myself in Photoshop, merging various pieces and molded it into just the shape and facial expression that was required for this piece, using the now infamous Liquify tool.

I dedicate this graphic to Froggie, ( Frogmuseum2 ). He introduced me to this incredibly beautiful poem by Mary Oliver. The moment I heard it, I knew I wanted to make a graphic with this theme. I began last evening and finished this morning at 6 a.m., with no break in between, because this amazing poem inspired me.

Thank you so much for notifying me about that website using my image. It appears as though the website is helping itself to people's art, then they benefit by internet ads (that pay per click) when visitors to the website who go there to download the art as wallpaper. They are parasites.
